Search challenges

Searching the medical literature … it’s what we do.    These days, much of my searching is either “quick & dirty” for people who just want an article or two right now, or really complex if I’m working with someone who reports trying unsuccessfully to pin down an answer.

JMLA Case Studies in Health Sciences Librarianship has begun a weekly series of search challenge questions to help us hone our literature search skills and to foster discussion of best search practice.   Check it out: http://jmlacasestudies.blogspot.com/search/label/search%20challenge

Also worth noting: NNLM Pacific Northwest Region is offering an online seminar titled Awakening the Searcher Within.  Find the details on the PNR blog Dragonfly.
